Ugh yet another Canuck Whackjob - Stephen M Beckow, evidently a former, now retired, member of the Canadian Immigration & Refugee Board - Which makes a weird kinda sense if you think about it:
To Muslims of America, I Apologize...
BCF asks:
"What caused their collective madness? Was it precipitated by government
service or the result of a pre-existing condition?"
Good question. I’ll bet a lot of it is closely related to BDS. Given the number (about 900) of professionals and academics willing to sign their name to this nuttery it seems like it’s approaching epidemic proportions.
But that’s only 900 out of a population of, say, several million professionals and academics. So the incidence is actually much lower than for schizophrenia.
I wonder: Does this say anything about the number of professionals and academics who signed onto the AGW bandwagon? Just asking.
Hmm, it would be interesting to see if a correlation exists between 911 truthers and the Glowball Warming crowd..
ReplyDeleteThere has never been an 'inside job' in the history of the world by anybody anyplace. (real conservative)

ReplyDeleteGo fer it, Mr. Science.
Depends on how you intend the words 'inside job'. I mean, it's known with 100% certainty that the attack on Pear Harbor was known of well in advance, and allowed to happen in order to get Americans angry so they would be willing to go to war.
ReplyDelete9/11 is almost certainly the same. The evidence that government knew about it, and allowed to it occur for political gain, is massive. The fact that it was used to justify attacks on completely unrelated targets, rather than being followed by a serious attempt to crack down on terrorism adds to that impression. All in all, you'd have to be a frigging moron not to see that the US government was deeply involved in 9/11.
Anon: "...known with 100% certainty..."
ReplyDeleteAs for AGW, these things are known with 100% certainty only by 'true believers' like Anon. And no amount of evidence will ever dissuade them. The truth is almost always less 'interesting' than the conspiracy theories.
I'm not keen on referencing Wikipedia but the entry on the Pearl Harbour advance knowledge 'conspiracy'
gives the flavour of the "debate".
.
Anon you are a wonder. Bet you liked the Protocols of Zion as well.
