To
save the Liberals Scott Brison wants to inspire young Canadians and get them voting:
The goal of the Liberal Party of Canada today should be to build the most modern and inclusive political organization in the country, one that inspires young Canadians to vote.
And if Liberals can't "inspire" them - force them:
... the Liberal party may consider going a step further and advocate the adoption of mandatory voting, as exists in Australia.
Scott Brison is an idiot. Any party that advocated forcing me to vote certainly wouldn't get mine. To think that Brison was once a leading Conservative. Blecchhh!
The Liberals are the second opposition party now; its their duty to introduce legislation no one in their right mind would pass.
ReplyDeleteHeh :)
ReplyDeleteThe only good Liberal is an out-of-power Liberal.
ReplyDeleteI heard their popular support is now 15%. If they keep opening their mouths, they may make it down to single digits yet
I've heard Conservatives bring up mandatory voting as well.
ReplyDeletethe only reason these clowns bring up mandatory or inclusive or youth voting is that they think it will benefit them, not because the policy is right on its own; if Brison thought that 60% of mandatory votes would go conservative he'd never mention it. Its the liberal conceit that most people are liberal and that all the need to do is get them to, or make them vote. What a jackass
ReplyDeleteI agree, allegedcc. Many if not most lefties automatically assume that youth will vote left or can be easily duped into doing so by offering "free" this and "free" that.
