In the journal Nature Geoscience, they write that the next Ice Age would begin within 1,500 years - but emissions have been so high that it will not.
... The broad conclusions of the team were endorsed by Lawrence Mysak, emeritus professor of atmospheric and oceanic sciences at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, who has also investigated the transitions between Ice Ages and warm interglacials.
... UK lobby group the Global Warming Policy Foundation [states]: "We must look to a sustained greenhouse effect to maintain the present advantageous world climate. This implies the ability to inject effective greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, the opposite of what environmentalists are erroneously advocating."Assuming that CO2 has as great an effect on climate as AGW hysterics claim then it's a no-brainer - we should be doing nothing to curb emissions. In fact we should be promoting emissions.
Our governments must get off the insane, economy destroying AGW bandwagon and reverse all "climate change" policies and programs. It's in Canada's long term interests to grow economically and to avoid being obliterated by another ice age!

ReplyDeleteRegarding global climate, scientists can't even agree on past, recorded temperatures. The probability of this or any other theory being correct is extremely low.
Sorry to "dis" your nice story.
No 'dis' taken. If (a big "if") human CO2 is warming the planet as the alarmists devoutly believe then the ice-age-deferral theory would more likely be correct - in which case we should not be wasting any effort fighting AGW but promoting it.
ReplyDeleteIf, on the other hand, human CO2 emmissions are not causing warming we should not be wasting any effort curbing them to fight AGW.
It's win, win (at least until the next ice age rolls in). Either way governments should get off the stupid AGW bandwagon.
Since one,1,volcano emits more co2 in a day than all of human activity in 100 years,it seems to be a no brainer to me.
ReplyDeleteJust goes to show they haven't got a clue and haven't thought it through.
ReplyDeleteCO2 is not the problem in spite of all the hysterial claims to the contrary. I know it is pointless to continue to point this out, but the earth has known several periods when the CO2 level was much higher and people were not even around. Of course the hoax continues to provide a cover for governments to tax and spend, so it needs to end.
