Pissing on the Taliban

This just about sums up my feeelings on the issue:
... I have to say I can’t seem to work up any outrage. ...
And Jerry Agar's take is fine too.

Update:
Ezra Levant notes the Media Party's phony outrage and the media/Dem/Obama double standard.

  1. O.K. Has anyone ever wondered why that their are no complaints about how the Taliban treat our Soldiers?
The Taliban does not take prisoners.

  2. I just had a conversation with an individual that was thrilled to hear that Tebow was beaten, I thought he was going to start foaming at the mouth. I identified him as a "Hate filled lefty that hates Christianity" and he was so wound up he agreed.

Same group of people. Lefty's. Y'know, the folks that have brought us ALL of the global genocides. Not neat folks.

  3. I just can't work up the same sense of outrage over this incident than I do over filmed beheadings by these Taliban thugs.

  4. QUESTION: The battle is over and you are my prisoner. I offer you a choice - a bullet in the head, OR I piss all over you.

Do you really need time to think about it?

/OK, these guys got both, but that's not the point is it.

While I secretly snickered over this one, my only concern is that the weird beards will use this to recruit more jihadi's and more Marines will get killed or hurt.

    Other than that, fuk'em.

  5. I have a difficult time understanding why anyone would be "outraged" by this act. Hey lefty's, guess what? War is a vicious, life or death, brutal world. Lefty's love to cheer and sympathize with the enemy. Dehumanizing the enemy in the face of war is common, it isn't pretty, but it's the way it is... get over it.

  6. This is not fabricated outrage. A military has to have ethics and standards. There is also international law that forbids defiling the enemy dead.

I guess for you guys who think this is acceptable, you will not complain if an Arab pisses on a dead Israeli soldier or dead American. There can only be one law and one standard on he battlefield.

Lastly, do you think pissing on a citizen of Afghanistan makes the military's job easier or harder? Do you think Afghan's don't care?

  7. Didn't Gen. "Blackjack" Pershing threaten to pour pig's blood in the graves of Islamic Phillapino insurgents around the turn of the 20th century in order to quell the rebellion?
    I believe it worked!
So you see Islamists, it could've been worse than Marine pee!

  8. Good to see many share my lack of outrage.
Anon @ 7:52 PM raises some points that Jerry Agar addresses. Eg: not nice, violates international rules, enrages Afghans (stupidity of putting photos on-line), etc.
OK - but I still can't get worked up about it.

  9. The international rules don't fly. The Geneva Convention does not apply to nor cover terrorists. One can disapprove of the conduct of these Marines, but please do not confuse disapproval with violating international rules.

  10. You could have a point there, Alain. But I also think the U.S. military (and ours) might apply international rules to their/our own conduct, terrorists or not. I guess we'll see how far out to dry the Marines hang their troops on this one.
