Exposing UN Agenda 21

It's good to see that someone in government is concerned about the subversive UN Agenda 21.
Cheryl Gallant's recent Report from Parliament outlines those concerns and the action being taken in some quarters to combat it:
... the [United Nations] has very specific land use policies they would like to see implemented in every village, town, city, county, province and nation.  The specific plan is called United Nations Agenda 21 Sustainable Development, which has its basis in Communitarianism.  Most Canadians have heard of sustainable development, but are largely unaware of the U.N. initiative Agenda 21. A non-governmental organization headquartered in Toronto called the International Council of Local Environmental Initiatives, ICLEI, is tasked with carrying out the goals of Agenda 21 worldwide.

In a nutshell, the plan calls for government to eventually take control of all land use removing decision making from the hands of private property owners.  It is assumed people are not good stewards of their land and “the government” will do a better job if it is in total control.  Individual rights in general are to give way to the needs of communities as determined by the governing body.
Take the poll at the bottom of Gallant's report.

Elizabeth Nickson's excellent book "Eco-Fascists" (inspired by her personal experience on Salt Spring Island, BC) also deals with many of these issues.

  1. I so admire her. Even though I am in not in her riding, being in BC, I did get on her distribution list and receive her e-mail updates including this one on Agenda 21. I am able to add my vote and voice regardless of living where I do. My Conservative MP is a nice fellow but does not hold a candle light to her. If only all our MPs were this involved and pro-active. She has also done some great work concerning the gun registry and the Liberals' Firearms Act in spite of her (and our) government refusing to repeal it.

  2. Haven't heard of this, but with the UN, nothing they propose would surprise me.The environmental record of nations where government owned all the land is so stellar, think of China or the Soviet Union.
One more example of how the 1982 Charter is so incomplete with regard to private property clauses.

  3. I also received Gallants e-mail. I signed up in the hope of stopping this communism by unelected Un'ers and implemented by corrupt politicians at all levels of governance. There seems to be a certain level of government initiatives, mainly local (municipal) and Provincial that seemingly come right out of the blue. Whether it's useless unwanted bike lanes, high density development or chickens in the back yard, local governments seem to be running an agenda not desired or relevant to the local community... a kind of one size fits all social engineering scheme that makes one wonder who the hell these governments are actually working for.

  4. I'm on Cheryl Gallant's mailing list as well, and voted this morning to have Agenda 21 made an election issue. Most voters are completely unaware of this 300 page document that is freely available from the UN,they make no secret of it.

But,mention Ag-21, and you get scoffed at as if you've just said 9-11 was an inside job or that the moon landings were faked.

The Green party is the chief proponent of this, but most greenies seem to think I'm making it up when I mention their support for it.
The main reason I'm so worried about Justin Trudeau winning next year,is the huge number of not just low-info voters, but voters who are too damned lazy to do some research into anything, just get their info from TV Newscasts or headlines.

Most people I've talked to about Ag-21 or One World Government, except for fellow "political junkies", have never heard of it.

It's about time someone woke them up.

  5. Yes, Cheryl Gallant does good work.

dmorris, You are absolutely right. the degree to which this toxic and subversive eco-leftist ideology has infiltrated so many of our institutions, apparently with little notice, is particularly disturbing. It has made its way into our education system from k-12 and beyond, municipal and city plans and programs, provincial and federal government programs with few people even recognizing any threat much less attempt to do anything about it. So all the more power to Cheryl Gallant and anyone else she can recruit to 'Job One' which is to wake up the public.
