"One should doubtless keep an open mind...though open at both ends, like the food pipe, and have a capacity for excretion as well as intake." -- Northrop Frye, 'The Great Code'

Today's the day New Brunswick's stupidity goes into effect
New Brunswick's anti-fracking legislation is effective today. And the official excuse: "social license". Ezra asks: "... who gives social license to the people who give social license".
I will support New Brunswick's ban on tracking when they agree to not ask for any more equalization money. If we don't have to subsidize their stupidity, they can do what they want, but if they want money from the rest of Canada, then find a way to help grow the economy, not be permanently dependent on other provinces. Equalization is supposed help provinces during transitions or difficult times not be permanent welfare.
