It is hardly news that conservatives prefer racists to socialists. All you have to do is read the Blogging Tories regularly to know that.
Oh, yeah, as I remember, the entire apartheid apparatus in South Africa and segregation in the Southern US was paid for by the Soviet Union. Good thing the racists running the show in those countries had the communists paying for all that and not the taxpayers living there.

This'll be news to you, but I am not a conservative; I describe myself, only slightly tongue-in-cheek, as a loony libertarian.
I appreciate that some people can only think in terms of "conservative" (bad) and "lefty" (good) but do try to broaden your mind a little bit, old chap.

And I'd add, for Greg's benefit, that it's not a matter of preference but of fact. Both evils exist - but socialism is the more damaging.
