Joanne at Blue Like You provides the links that give the proper perspective on this media and opposition hyped non-issue.
Update (from the comments): Wilson points out Christie Blatchford's outstanding column which complements what Terry Glavin had to say on the audio link Joanne refers to (and this to say on his blog today).

Well, I think you gave me too much credit there with the 'all you need to know', but thanks for the plug.
I have been deliberately trying to avoid this issue because I think it plays into the hands of the Taliban to give it too much press, but sometimes you have to speak up.
And Paul Wells gives Christie the last word, oh, how generous of him, eh.
That aside, here is Christies article, a real journalist speaks:

If you want to send Christie a message of thanks for supporting our troops:

Oh, I don't know, Joanne, those links of yours covered pretty much everything I needed to confirm my views on the issue.
Wilson, that was an awesome column by Christie Blatchford. She must be a lonely soul in that lefty crew at the Globe. Her piece nicely complements what Terry Glavin said in that Breakenridge interview Joanne points to.
