Sensible gun control ...

... in Switzerland (unlike Canuckistan):

... voters overwhelmingly rejected proposals that would have obliged some two million gun owners in the country to keep their weapons in public arsenals rather than at home.
.... 3,000 gun clubs, which function as key social centres in hundreds of villages.
... no national firearms register in Switzerland. ... unofficial estimates suggest there are between 2 million and 3 million guns kept in Swiss households.

we have far too many laws and rules and regulations in canada about guns. apparently it is quite easy to get a gun in toronto without any paperwork or government interference.

Armed, you are a citizen.

Disarmed, you are a subject.

And when the only 'citizens' are cops and criminals we've got real trouble.

The less you are able to defend yourself, the more you are dependant of the State.

The State is Mother.

The State is Father.

You owe your existence to The State.

Now, LOVE The State!

Or else....

I was born in a country like that! In my teens, my parents and I escaped and came here to find freedom. Seeing it erode as it has been gives me nightmares.

No kidding, it does!

The question is: how does one wake up the majority which is unwilling to listen, because, as a refugee, I must obviously be biased and therefore not worthy of listening to?

Sometimes, I am beginning to loose hope.

Especially when I speak to my sons' very intelligent friends - who have been so brainwashed by the system that they are unable to evaluate information coming to them.

And that is a tragedy: a whole generation of intelligent, sometimes brilliant people whose abilities to analyze situations objectively has been so deeply undermined....by their 'education'.

Sorry, I'm venting here, but it really, really gets to me.

I can't understand how a few requirements such as background checks and limiting clip capacity are so threatening to folks. Please watch my video on YouTube...Culture of Violence. I think you'll agree with my position.
