Obama's Middle East mess just got messier

Russia Launches Airstrikes in Nothern Syria

Russian warplanes began bombarding Syrian opposition targets in the war-torn nation's north Wednesday, following a terse meeting at which a Russian general asked Pentagon officials to clear out of Syrian air space and was rebuffed, Fox News has learned.
... The strikes hit targets in Homs and Hama, but there is no presence of ISIS in those areas
So, Putin is bombing Syrian rebel forces being supported by the Obama coalition.  When Obama met with Putin for 90 minutes in New York this week you have to wonder what the "pixie dust president"  gave away this time.

Whatever may be said about President Obama, his foreign policy record has been an abysmal disaster for the US. Still in Canada hordes of citizens would vote for him, given the chance. There are consequences to voting for reasons other than experience and proven record, nowhere is this more important than foreign relations. Canadians would be well advised to think of this on Oct 19.

Sadly, it's probably true that the entire 'anybody but Harper' crowd (about 60% of Canadians) would vote for Obama.

Luckily, all it takes for a Harper majority is about 40% of the vote, like last time. I remain cautiously optimistic:)
