BC trade school reverses bigoted anti-Israeli policy

The Island School of Building Arts (ISBA) is a trade school established on Gabriola Island, BC as a "Training Provider for the Log and Timber Frame Construction Industry".

Who knew that BDS bigotry would have, like termites, infested a woodworking trade school in the backwoods of BC?  I certainly wouldn't have but for the Jerusalem Post and the Canadian Centre for Israeli and Jewish Affairs (CIJA).

From this morning's JPost:
A Canadian trade school reportedly turned down an Israeli student applicant simply for being Israeli.
[The school, foolishly assuming the moral high ground,] wrote ... that "It is sad that decisions being made halfway around the world impact us here as we have had a number of students from Israel attend the school in the past." The email continued: "This is a question of staying in line with our moral compass, which will always be important to us. We are still inclusive and cannot support that which is not inclusive."
Following the CIJA's intervention later today they were able to report :
"We are pleased to announce that the ISBA has reversed its decision."
That was fast work! Good show, CIJA.

FWIW, the incident garnered a fair bit of attention on Twitter.

"Nothing to do with Islam"

As Barack Hussein Obama, the idiot mayor of Philadelphia this week and other useful idiots on the lib/left repeat ad-nauseam whenever terrorists strike, obviously motivated by Islam, that it had "nothing to do with Islam (religion of peace)".

Not that it is needed, but more strong evidence of Islam's culpability came with a recently published study of suicide attacks worldwide in 2015 which documented 452 attacks worldwide of which 450 were committed by Muslims:
... Of course, we cannot avoid mentioning the religious element as the most significant factor that motivates the suicide terrorists throughout the world. Here’s the most dramatic statistic: 450 of 452 suicide terror attacks in 2015 were perpetrated by Muslim extremists. One of the remaining two attacks was carried out by the Kurdish underground. The other was perpetrated by a woman supporter of a leftist group in Turkey.
Note that the Israeli researcher team was very careful about defining what constituted a suicide attack and how attacks were counted, noting, for example, "we consider the terror attack that took place in Paris two months ago as a single attack, even though there were seven suicide terrorists.”

Paris terror attacks: The Israelis did it!

Palestinian Authority blames Israel:
Even known Islamic radical groups have condemned the Islamic State (ISIS) for the horrific coordinated terror attacks in Paris ...

However, the Palestinian Authority (PA) stood out for saying that the bombings and shootings claimed by the ISIS should be blamed on Israel.

... The PA ... believes that Israel's spy agency, the Mossad, was responsible for the bombings, according to a statement posted on its official newspaper, WND reported.

Why the left hates Bibi Netanyahu

Lawrence Solomon tells us why:
Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu’s triumph in Israel’s election this week, so shocking and appalling to the Western press, is many other things, too. ...

... recognition by Israelis of Netanyahu as the Churchill of our times
... stands apart from virtually all other Western leaders
... a repudiation by Israelis of those same Western leaders
... Netanyahu’s march to freer markets.
... Under Netanyahu’s influence ... Israel systematically began dismantling the welfare state
... sold off Israel’s interests in state enterprises,
... abolished foreign exchange controls and otherwise liberalized the economy,
... turning Israel into an entrepreneurial marvel
... The Western press, operating as it does from its echo chamber, likes to describe Israel as increasingly isolated in the world due to its supposed failure to make peace
... Israel, once the darling of the Socialist Internationale, is fast becoming the darling of all but Socialist-leaning Europe, Iran and the ISIS wannabe set.
... Two years from now, Obama will be gone, to be remembered as the worst American president in memory. Prime Minister Netanyahu will remain in power and on the world stage
That's why.

Canadian hate-monger praises synagogue massacre

CJN:
... Writing in the Nov. 28 edition of Meshwar, a free newspaper circulated in southwest Ontario, editor Nazih Khatatba approved the Nov. 18 Har Nof massacre as a “courageous and qualitative” operation.

The attack “ushers a new phase which should properly be called the phase of the new Fedayeen, fighters who sacrifice their life in battle,” wrote Khatatba, who is also a board member of Palestine House in Mississauga.
...
Another Muslim scumbag!

Unethical journalism (a Canadian staple)

Hypocrisy and biased coverage (and suppression) of events have long been evident in Canadian mainstream journalism.  Two recent stories illustrate the problem: Canada's defence spending and Liberal rising star General Andrew Leslie's screwball comments on Israel's war against Hamas terrorists in Gaza.  Brian Lilley, Michael Coren and David Aiken discuss:

This is the kind of crap the Conservatives are up against in the 2015 election.  It represents a  multi-multi-million dollar media freebee advantage to Conservatives' opponents (mainly Liberals).  And that's why I'll be contributing several times my normal political donations over the next year.

Why does the Jewish-owned media hate Israel?

Lawrence Solomon in his NatPo piece, The Jewish press and Israel, refers to a tweet from Rupert Murdoch which asks: Why Is Jewish owned press so consistently anti-Israel in every crisis?

Naturally Murdoch got leftist blow-back:
Many in the left-wing press immediately pounced on Murdoch’s comment, claiming, as a Guardian writer did, that Murdoch had “slipped into an anti-Semitic usage.”
A CNN commentator called Murdoch’s tweet “beyond outrageous to offensive, truly offensive … reviving the old canard about Jews controlling the media.”
Solomon defends Murdoch: noting that many of the largest, most influential media outlets (including NYT, LATimes, Chicago Trib, NBC, CBS, Viacom, MTV and ABC) are a) Jewish-owned and b) anti-Israel.
Anti-Semites who believe Jewish ownership leads the press to show favouritism toward Jews haven’t been paying attention. The New York Times during the 1930s and 1940s played down the Nazi atrocities, burying stories of concentration camps and Jewish mass murders in small stories in the paper’s interior. In recent decades, the Times has been consistently anti-Israel.
... Anti-Semites looking for media coverage sympathetic to Israel would be hard-pressed to find it in the Jewish-led press (Mort Zuckerman’s New York Daily News and U.S. News and World Report being notable exceptions). The narrative the anti-Semites are most comfortable with, ironically, comes from Jews.

"The world" wants Obama re-elected

How the world would vote in the U.S. election.

... Obama is preferred over Mitt Romney in 31 out of 32 countries in the UPI poll and 20 out of 21 countries in another BBC World Service/GlobeScan/PIPA survey. Fifty-one percent of respondents in the UPI poll said they would cast a ballot for Obama ...
... There is really only one red (foreign) state in this election, and it's Israel. In a poll conducted by the Israel Democracy Institute and Tel Aviv University last week, 52 percent of Israelis said a Romney win would be preferable for Israeli interests, compared with 25 percent who said the same about Obama. The divide was starker among Jewish Israelis, who backed Romney by a 57-22 margin, with support for the GOP candidate strongest among right-wingers. A plurality of Arab Israelis, by contrast, favored Obama (45 percent) over Romney (15 percent). ...
Note that Canada, Britain and Australia are solid blue Obama groupies.
Peter Foster:
Polls that claim that a thumping majority of Canadians would vote for President Obama in today’s reportedly knife-edge U.S. election suggest either a badly broken polling process, or that the locals have taken leave of their senses....
With Obama as the Dem candidate, I think the latter is most likely.

Rubin: "Obama Administration Promotes Islamist Regimes"

From The Rubin Report:
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s speech justifying Obama Administration Middle East policy changes everything. ... It isn't a reluctant acceptance that Islamists might win elections and take over coutries. It is an enthusiastic endorsement of that idea. ...

Netanyahu vs Abbas

Netanyahu's and Abbas's words yesterday at the UN were juxtaposed in todays Post. The bottom line:

Netanyahu: ... The truth is that Israel wants peace with a Palestinian state, but the Palestinians want a state without peace. ...
Netanyahu's UN speech (and more) at Blazing Cat Fur.
Also, former Sudanese slave: “Calling Israel a racist state is absolutely absurd and immoral.”

The One-State Solution

Andrew Klavan: "Give the Middle East to the Jews":

Hilarious ... but when you stop to think about it, it's the perfect solution, and therefore impossible.

Suing the useful idiots behind the Canadian Boat to Gaza

Eye On A Crazy Planet:
Canada has designated Hamas, the "Islamic Resistance Movement" in Gaza, as a terrorist organization and it is a criminal offense in Canada to provide aid to terrorists.

Why then are Canadians allowed to launch an effort to provide Hamas terrorists with material aid without facing prosecution in the Canadian courts?

This is a question effectively being asked by a law suit just launched against "Turtle Island Humanitarian Aid" and the Montreal-based activist organization Alternatives International which has become notorious as a recipient of taxpayer money while working for an agenda that conflicts with Canada's foreign policy goals.

Cherna Rosenberg is a Canadian citizen who divides her time between Israel and Canada. She is the plaintiff in a million dollar law suit against the Canadian organizers of a boat meant to challenge Israel's arms embargo of Hamas-ruled Gaza.

Dear President Obama

From Hunter's Friday Night Funnies:

Dear President Obama:
I am writing today with a somewhat unusual request. First and foremost, I am asking that you return America to its August 20th, 1959 borders so that Hawaii is no longer a state and you are no longer a citizen.

Your BFF,

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

Pat Condell on Jews v. Muslims: "no contest"

Via Blazing Cat Fur:

Good diatribe! On the money for the most part. Glad to see he kept his virulent hatred of religion toned down for this one. But I guess the subject matter kind of dictated that. Is it worth asking how much of the Jewish people's phenomenal success Pat would be willing to attribute to their religious heritage? Didn't think so.

Israel's economic miracle

"If you go to the Middle East looking for oil you don't need to stop in Israel.  But if you go looking for brains, for energy, for integrity it's the only stop you need to make." - Warren Buffet

See this video also:

There are more Israeli companies on NASDAQ than all of Europe combined, more companies than all of India, China, Korea and Japan combined. ... There is more global venture capital going to Israel than to the United States (two and a half times) and 30 times as much as to Europe.
Israel is all about innovation and creativity.  It's neighbours are all about death and destruction. And the clowns behind the Canadian "Ship-of-Fools" to Gaza back the latter? Go figure.

Ignatieff's duplicity

David Frum parses Ignatieff's English debate attacks on Stephen Harper and finds duplicity on Israel:
... The word “Israel” does not appear in these remarks. Friends of Israel who want to vote Liberal can continue to remind themselves that Ignatieff condemned “Israel Apartheid Week” in a speech at the global anti-Semitism conference a year ago.
But people who follow the issues more closely will hear a very different message encoded in Ignatieff’s remarks.
Kairos and Canada’s Center for Human Rights and Democratic Development did not become notorious by “working in Africa.” They became notorious because of their attacks on Israel and their too-close associations with anti-Israel extremism....
Excellent column. Vote hustling "duplicity" is the Liberal default position on pretty much everything. It's "da' balanced approach".

Support Israel

From Glenn Beck's show last Friday:

Israel's former best ally has been looking pretty shaky since Obama came to office. In fact with all of Obama's Muslim outreach it looks more like the USA has gone to the other side. But, as Beck says in this video: "There are a lot of people working to change that. It'll take about two years."

Meanwhile, Israel deserves our support.
