Angry Foreigner - Swedish immigrant, Muslim apostate, atheist
Angry Foreigner is a very interesting guy introduced by Gavin McInnes on his show last Friday. His take on Sweden is instructive for Canadians and most other Westerners whose countries while not yet as badly screwed up as Sweden are headed that way fast - i.e. wrecked by neo-liberal insanity (immigration policy, political correctness, cultural Marxism, multi-culturalism, cultural relativism, identity obsession, etc, etc, etc).
Here he is in a long interview with American blogger and YouTuber, Tree of Logic:

Mark Steyn's interview with Jordan Peterson
Free speech under assault:
Conclusion: It's time to dismantle the university humanities departments and fire their professors. They are destroying Western civilization. The billion$ saved can be productively reassigned to STEM subjects.

Jordan Peterson unloads - his philosophy and his advice on how to defeat the "social justice" ideologues
In this powerful one hour interview, Jordan Peterson lets us know what makes him tick - his philosophy of life, why he is risking his job to take up the fight against and defeat the scourges of political correctness and "social justice" ideology infecting Western society, and what we can do to help:
A teaser:
Prof Peterson identifies The PC Algorithm aka The Game of Political Correctness used by social justice warriors:
1. Identify some domain of human endeavour
2. Note that some people are doing comparatively well and others poorly
3. Define the people doing well as perpetrators
4. Define those doing poorly as victims
5. Announce your support for the victims
6. Trumpet your moral superiority
7. Vent your resentment and hatred on the conveniently identified perpetrators
8. Repeat, forever.
"This requires no thought. You can teach a university student this in about two hours and indoctrinate them into doing it professionally. Our recent research indicates that one politically correct course is enough to significantly affect someone's political beliefs."
PC tyranny
Mark Steyn:
... There are more and more areas of debate in which the authorities take the view that "there is only one correct answer". A free people should be free to argue, whether they take the right side or the wrong side of the question. But, as I always say (he says wearily), when you're arguing that only one side is allowed to have a side, you're on the wrong side.

BLM insanity afflicts Catholic University
The president of the largest Roman Catholic University in America refused a conservative student group's request to post pro-life posters because it would constitute "bigotry ... under the cover of free speech."
Despite the fact that "Black Lives Matter" posters hang on the very windows of the administrative offices at Chicago-based DePaul University, President Reverend Dennis H. Holtschneider banned posters reading "Unborn Lives Matter," a message much more in keeping with Catholic teaching on the sanctity of human life, from conception to natural death. ...When po-mo, pc identity politics start infecting the thinking at Catholic universities you know the culture war is being lost. President Holtshneider has defected to the enemy's side. Though it would appear that this has been happening for some time. And considering some of Pope Francis's rhetoric on global warming and capitalism, the entire Catholic Church is lurching in that direction.

Marco Rubio on climate change: "it's always changing"
There isn't a single Canadian politician with the moxie to be this honest about climate change:
Bravo, Marco!
Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton says she won't move to Canada when Trump wins the White House. Of course not, she'll be in jail!

How to stamp out cultural Marxism
In a single generation:
It is ... no mistake that cultural Marxists in the form of "social justice warriors", PC busybodies and feminists tend to create artificial divisions between people and “classes” while attacking and homogenizing very real and natural divisions between individuals based on biological reality and inherent genetic and psychological ability.
... The insane lie that cultural Marxists seem to have conned themselves and others into believing is that their “activism” is somehow anti-establishment. In fact, social justice is constantly coddled and supported by the establishment. ... Cultural Marxists ARE the establishment.

Study: Don't be judgemental towards self-identifying vampires
Rachel Dolezal, a purely white woman, self identifies as a black woman. What's next?
How about self-identifying as a vampire:
How about self-identifying as a vampire:
Research led by D.J. Williams, director of social work at Idaho State University, indicated that people who identify themselves as “real” vampires ... would not disclose their practices to those in the helping professions and risk reactions like ridicule, disgust and possible diagnosis of a mental illness. [Yah think?!]
The paper, published in the latest issue of Critical Social Work, a peer-reviewed journal based in Canada, found that authentic vampires ... might be stereotyped by clinicians whose fields discourage biases ... [concluding]:
It may be politically incorrect, but I think I'll file this under "batshit crazy".... social workers and helping professionals should learn more about alternative identities and communities, listen and learn from clients, strive to become more aware of our own potential biases and stereotypes, and interrogate and challenge common social discourses that pathologize and demonize.
... Clinicians should continually work to infuse core professional values and ethical standards and principles, including social justice, dignity, and worth of the person, the importance of human relationships, competence, social diversity, and client self-determination [hitting nearly every po-mo, pc buzzword in the social "science" lexicon].

Pssst! Want to buy a Confederate flag?
You won't be able to get one from Amazon or eBay. They're banning its sale on their websites as a show of their righteousness. Though they seem to have no problem flogging Islamic and Nazi flags and other paraphernalia.
So, the some 70 million Americans who still admire the Confederate flag as an honorable symbol of Southern heritage worth preserving will have to go elsewhere. Luboš Motl of The Reference Frame suggests this site in the Czech Republic, for one.

Political correctness has important Christian issues being stifled while minor Muslim issues get undue attention
Brian Lilley:
There's been lots of talk about religious freedom, but it's all about one issue: the niqab and whether Muslim women can wear one during citizenship ceremonies.

The roots of cultural decline - liberal intellectualism
Theodore Dalrymple, in his essay "Seeing is Not Believing", traces the roots of cultural decline in British society:
... Violence, vulgarity, and educational failure: three aspects of modern English life that are so obvious and evident that it requires little observational power to discern them. Indeed, it requires far more mental effort and agility not to discern them, to screen them out of one's consciousness ...A little long but well worth the read.
It is worth examining the mental mechanisms that liberal intellectuals use to disguise the truth from themselves and others, and to ask why they do so.
First, there is outright denial. ...
Second, there is the tendentious historical comparison or precedent. ...
Third, once the facts are finally admitted under the duress of accumulated evidence, their moral significance is denied or perverted....
Every liberal prescription worsened the problem that it was ostensibly designed to solve. But every liberal intellectual had to deny that obvious consequence or lose his [deeply ingrained world view] ...

Brigitte Gabriel: "... throw political correctness in the garbage where it belongs!"
Frank Gaffney and Brigitte Gabriel respond to questions from a young Muslim woman in the audience of a Heritage Foundation panel on the Benghazi attack:
Predictably the left was 'outraged' on behalf of the Muslim woman and Islam. Dana Milbank at the WaPo characterized the Heritage panel session as an "assault" that devolved into "...the ugly taunting of a woman in the room who wore an Islamic head covering". Here's Politico's response to Milbank's column.
Gabriel's rant was certainly strongly voiced but it had the benefit of being true. And the Muslim woman's comments at the end of the video show no hint that she felt intimidated or "assaulted".

"Universities are islands of repression in a sea of freedom"
So said Dr. Arnold Aberman in an excellent convocation speech in which he cited several recent instances of prominent people, like Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Condoleezza Rice, being prevented from speaking at convocations because of their "controversial" views. Dr. Aberman went on to cite four examples from science and medicine in which proponents of "controversial" new ideas that ran counter to prevailing "settled science" were ridiculed and shunned but were eventually vindicated and honoured. Dr. Aberman's conclusions and advice:
... claiming “settled science” is a statement, not an argument. Truth is not discovered by voting. What is “settled science” today may be labelled a mistaken belief tomorrow.
You can’t learn in an echo chamber, welcoming only your ideas. Listen to those who you do not agree with – in fact, I urge, seek them out.
Oppose their theories with facts, not with censorship.
Be very suspicious of those who want to cut off debate with “this is against settled science.” Appealing to authority is a sign of weakness, not strength.

Liars - York Regional Police "diversity" squad changes its story
The York Police having previously admitted to the Toronto Sun that they pressured the rabbi, the National Post reported: Police deny pressuring rabbi to cancel speech ...
Pamela Geller responded, blasting the Post as well as the police:
And from Mark Steyn - on York Regional Police's chief "diversity" cop:
Update: Ottawa Citizen editorial. Insp Ricky Veerappan, the YRP head of diversity enforcement, is a Muslim! (Doubly foul! Mighta' known.)
Pamela Geller responded, blasting the Post as well as the police:
... look at the agenda driven picture they [the Post] use ...More reaction from Pam Geller.
... The fascist cop, Insp. Ricky Veerappan, already admitted that they threatened the rabbi with his removal from the York chaplaincy, so how does the National Post run a headline like this? ...
And from Mark Steyn - on York Regional Police's chief "diversity" cop:
Get lost, creep. In free societies, a constabulary isn’t there to enforce its “values”, it’s there to uphold the law. This man is unfit for his job. [I'll disagree slightly: He's not fit to be a regular law enforcement cop, but he's probably quite well trained and fit for his Orwellian role as "Diversity, Equity and Inclusion" enforcer.]Blazing Cat Fur with Salim Mansur's letter to the York Police. [Outstanding letter, Salim!]
